Guided tour of the Christmas Market

An informative and enlightening Advent stroll through the Christmas Market.
During the Habsburg era, Christmas was not always a time of peace and harmony. The Emperor also had a special way to celebrate the Christmas evening. These and many other stories were told at the Schönbrunn Christmas market.

The origins of the Christmas tree and the "Christkind" were handled as well as the custom of making a Christmas present, toys throughout the ages and the tradition of gingerbread in Austria.

The tour lasted approximately 1 hour for adults and 1/2 hour for children and was possible in all weather conditions.
Tours can be held in German or English.
