The opening of the 24 Christmas Market was on the 18 of November at 4.00 p.m. The tree was illuminated and the Swinging Ladies Deluxe performed on stage.
How long did the Christmas market go?
The Christmas Market Schloß Shönbrunn lasted six weeks. 2017 from the 18 November until the 26 December.

Directly after the Christmas Market started the New Year’s Market Schloß Schönbrunn, from the 27 December until the 1 January.

Where did the tree come from?
The Christmas tree of the Christmas Market is traditionally a present of the Österreichische Bundesforste. At 2017 an eighty-year old and 18 metres high spruce from the Annaberg / Salzburg Forest illuminated the barren court.

No dogs or bikes are allowed within the entire Schönbrunn grounds and at the Christmas Market and the New Years Market.

Were there any toilets and facilities for disabled people?
Toilets and barrier-free toilets for disabled people are in the visitor centre and the castle entrance. Additional toilets were in containers in west-arcades direction Meidlinger gate. Please find here the map.
How did the SOS Kinderdorf wishing tree charity activity work?
There were two possibilities to help children in need and to donate to SOS Kinderdorf or 147 Rat auf Draht. An exact description on how to help you can find here.
When did the music groups perform?
From 18 November 2017 until the 1 January 2018 daily concert has taken place. An exact schedule of the concerts of 2017 you can find here.
Were there any special activities for children?
Especially for our young market visitors there was a lot to discover at the 24 Christmas Market Schönbrunn. Our Christmas workshop invited children to model their own figures, during the rally children were invited to solve puzzles and also St. Nicolas visited the market.
