When opens the Christmas Market?
The 25th Christmas Market opens on the 24 of November at 5.00 p.m by the illumination of the christmas tree and the children choir Kinderhände will performe on stage.

How long does the Christmas market go?
The Christmas Market Schloß Shönbrunn lastes for six weeks, from the 24 November until the 26 December.

Is there a New Year’s Market too?
Directly after the Christmas Market starts the New Year’s Market Schloß Schönbrunn, from the 27 December until the 6 January.

How much is the entry fee for the market?
The entry for the Christmas Market and New Year’s Market Schloß Schönbrunn is free of charge as well as the concerts.

Where does the christmas tree come from?
The Christmas tree of the Christmas Market is traditionally a present of the Österreichische Bundesforste. At 2018 the tree is from the Forstrevier Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße, Forstbetrieb Pinzgau from Salzburg.

Parking zones around the castle are available at APCOA Parking Schönbrunn Wien. The APCOA Parking is open 24h/7. Further information can be find here.

How can I get to the Christmas Market and New Year’s Market the easiest?
You can get to the Market by the underground line U4, stop Schönbrunn, by tram lines 60 and 10 or bus line 10A. Please find here further information.

Are dogs allowed in the Schönbrunn area?
No dogs or bikes are allowed within the entire Schönbrunn grounds and at the Christmas Market and the New Years Market.

When can I apply as an exhibitor for the Christmas Market and New Year’s Market Schloß Schönbrunn?

Are there any toilets and facilities for disabled people?
Toilets and barrier-free toilets for disabled people are in the visitor centre and the castle entrance. Additional toilets are in containers in west-arcades direction Meidlinger gate. Please find here the map.

How does the SOS Kinderdorf wishing tree charity activity work?
There are two possibilities to help children in need and to donate to SOS Kinderdorf or 147 Rat auf Draht. An exact description on how to help please find here.

When does the music groups perform?
From 24 November 2018 until the 6 January 2019 daily concert are taken place. An exact schedule of the concerts of 2018/2019 you can find here.

Are there any special activities for children?
Especially for our young market visitors there is a lot to discover at the 25th Christmas Market Schönbrunn. Our Christmas workshop invites children to model their own marzipane figures, during the rally children are invited to solve puzzles and also Father Christmas visites the market. Where is the next ATM?
An ATM is in the visitor centre next to the main entrance.
