Glass bead stars

Benno Rohrbach brings a whole galaxy to the Schönbrunn Christmas Market with glass stars from 2 to 40 cm in diameter and beads of different sizes, shapes and colours and even introduces completely new constellations. The centuries-old tradition of glassmaking shines through with every single item. “I obtain glass rods or beads from Bohemia,” says Benno, referring to the historical glass-blowing tradition in the Czech Republic. He then joins the individual pieces with wire to create highly decorative stars with up to 900 beads.
