Mangers and manger figures made of wood and Christmas tree decorations
The woodcarving stand of the Oberschneider family from East Tyrol has been an integral part of the Christmas Market Schönbrunn since 1997. Here you will find a beautiful selection of traditional manger figures, which are carved and refined by various Tyrolean sculptors and artists. In addition to the mangers and statues, you will also find lovingly crafted handicrafts made of various woods. Since 2012, the sculptor Franz Oberschneider has been working on the manger near the Christmas tree in front of Schönbrunn Palace - in the meantime you can admire more than 250 different figures made of wood there.
