The woodcarving stand of the Oberschneider family from Eastern Tyrol has been an integral part of the Christmas Markte Schloss Schönbrunn since 1997. Here you will find a wonderful selection of traditional nativity figures, which are carved and refined by various Tyrolean sculptors and artists. In addition to the nativity scenes and statues, you will also find beautifully made handicrafts from various types of wood. Since 2012, nativity scene maker and wood carver Franz Oberschneider has been working on the nativity scene by the Christmas tree in front of Schloss Schönbrunn – you can now admire more than 250 different wooden figures there.
